Nathan Bogonko

An Energy Expert with over 19 years combined experience in Management and Research, at KIRDI,Sasini Tea and Coffee
and James Finlay Kenya Ltd. He holds an Msc in Energy Technology and a Bsc in Agricultural Engineering. Currently he is
pursuing a PhD in Energy Studies at Moi University.
Has experience and interest in the areas of Renewable Energy Technologies (biomass, design of biogas systems)energy
auditing, resource use efficiency, Environmental Impact Assessment and Audit, design ,installation and commissioning of
clean combustion technologies. He has supported consultancy works for the Kenya National Cleaner Production Centre on
resource use efficiency assessments in Industries. Previously was the Head of the Energy Development Centre for a period
of three and a half years.
A registered engineer with the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK), a member of the Institution Engineers of Kenya (IEK), a
member of the Association of Energy Professionals of Eastern Africa (AEPEA). Also he is a lead EIA Expert registered
with the National Environmental Management Authority (NEMA).
