BIO

A Certified Energy Manager ,CEM®) by the Association of Energy Engineers (Atlanta, USA),, trained  off-grid and grid connected Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Power systems and Solar cooling  technician, and  an advocate in women and youth empowerment in Renewable Energy Technologies. She is pursuing her Master of Science in Renewable energy and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Appropriate Technology  and she is a Research Scientist at Kenya Industrial Research and Development Institute (KIRDI).

She has over 16 years research experience in Renewable Energy Technologies, with extensive skills in designing/ installation/ testing of Solar Photovoltaic systems, Solar cooling and Water Heating Systems, Training and capacity building of people in solar technology and Entrepreneurship, Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Audits studies, Energy Management, efficiencies and Energy Audits, Project Monitoring and Evaluation and other Renewable Energy Systems (Hydrogen, wind turbines, small hydropower and biogas).

Sarah is one of the founder members of Women in Sustainable Energy and Entrepreneurship (WISEe) She is a member of the Association of Energy Engineers (Atlanta, USA), Association of Energy Professionals Eastern Africa (AEPEA) and WISEe.
