The Ministry of Energy of the Site 8 government has been working on the introduction of renewable energy for several years. Earlier initiatives include biogas production at the County slaughterhouse, and solar water pumping at the main water pumping station in Lake Victoria. In both initiatives, the County government has worked together with UNIDO.
